Q: When I buy soundtracks, why is the Music in one side, and the Background Vocals in the other?

A: This is because those tracks are called “Split Tracks”. Split tracks serve a couple of purposes. One thing they do, is make it where the artist does not have to have 2 sets of soundtracks, one with background vocals, one without. The other reason for them is in some places, people like to turn up, or down the background vocals, and with Split Tracks, you can.

Q: What does Split Track Mean?

A: That means The Music is coming out of 1 channel, Usually the Left side, and the Background Vocals are coming out of the Right side. (this can be switched depending on how the Artists had the soundtracks created.

Q:  If I wish to, How do I make the split track a regular track?

A: This is kind of complicated, BUT it can be done. One way you can do it, is by putting your soundtrack into a audio editor, on two(2) different tracks. On the first track, you leave everything the same, and on the second track, you do a “Flip” of which side is the right side, and which side is the Left. How this is done depends on the editing software you are using.
